The pennant race is nearing an end and the Tigers have not been in "it" for weeks. They seem to be going through the motions these days. Only a few of the "millionaire" players seem to care much. Disappointing season to say the least. Who would have thought this team would be out of it before Sept 1?
The Buckeyes play this Sat agaist Youngstown St...what a challenge. How much will Pryor Play? No one is saying. How many yeads for Chris Wells in game 1.
Here is to a Rays vs Cubs World Series....and a National Championship for the Buckeyes!

It is Over
Well you can stick a fork in the Tigers for sure. They are done. gary Sheffield is griping and Leyland is firing back. The clubhouse is gone and everyone is ready to go home. Last night was a great example. Verlander pitches rotten and no one hits. 7-2 Toronto victory and the Tigers are 8 back and dead. 2 games under .500 for this lineup? Give me a break. Send them all home and bring up the MudHens, at least they would be greatful to be in the big leagues.
Not everyone is that way. Palanco, Maggs, Miggy and Granderson can stay. Maybe Inge, Carlos and Marcus. About everyone else, see you in the Spring. When I was in Lakeland this spring who would have thought this type of season was even possible? Not me! They were tearing the cover off the ball, pitching fairly well and playing good defense. That is all gone now, all gone.
As the leaves begin to change colors we will again wait for the "Voice of the Turtle" to be heard in our land.
See ya in 2009!

What really matters.
Well the TIgers have lost the last 2 games it they are horrible, terrible and miserable! The bullpen is unbelievable and Kyle Farnsworth is not the answer. I just can't hardly watch the games. I can't stand it, just can't stand it.
On another note, continue to pray for Tyson Aschliman and son TJ. Tyson lost his wife to cancer about 10 days ago and it is hard for him. He has a new blogspot. www.tysonaschliman.blogspot.com
Please lift him up in prayer.

August 1st - Where is Summer Going?
Well it is Aug 1 and summer is in mid stream, but going fast. Kind of like the Tigers. Pudge gets traded for Kyle Farnsworth and the TIgers give away games in Cleveland. The Tigers play the Rays and the White Sox the next 2 series and that could tell the season one way or the other. Pretenders or contenders. Time will tell.
A good friend and co-worker, Tyson Aschliman lost his wife Leslie to Cancer this past weekend and it has been tough to think about anything else. Please continue to pray for Tyson and his son TJ as they ajust to life without mom. She will live in their hearts forever and she is no longer suffering. Last night I got to spend some time with Tyson and TJ at a company outing that had been postponed but Tyson wanted to do, so we did it. It was a great time to get to chat and say how sorry we are for the loss. It was also fun to play catch with TJ. He loves baseball and the Cubs. He and his cousins were having fun in the yard and that was the best part of the evening just playing catch. My heart goes out to them.
Well on the Rays and the Pale Sox...Tigers must win 4 of the 6 to be in conention.
